Being an avid user of Snapchat, I've been more hooked to the lenses feature than I can admit. I mean, where else can you justify sending distorted faces of yourself to friends and not look silly?
Given any social media app, the company will always find ways to monetise their platform. In this case, Snapchat has been doing it through sponsored lenses. Don't get me wrong. It is a win-win situation - brands get to advertise themselves and users get to continue having fun with lenses. There is a growing popularity for sponsored lenses and more brands are catching up to it.
With that being said, I was browsing through the different lenses Snapchat currently has when a new sponsored lens for the upcoming Batman v Superman movie came up.
Of course, naturally, I was having fun raising my eyebrows to activate the special effects when it occurred to me... Wouldn't it be cool if I could speak in Batman's voice as well?
I'm surprised that they haven't came up with a new voice alteration technology that can change a user's voice when posting these videos up. There's so much you can do. For instance, just imagine promoting for new Pitch Perfect movie. With an auto-tune voice alteration feature, we can all be singers.
Maybe this would be the next big thing. I know I wouldn't mind having Morgan Freeman's voice for 10 seconds.
Tinder has become something of a cultural phenomenon. It is the world’s hottest dating app, especially for the millennials. If you are on social media, chances are you’d probably have downloaded Tinder at some point in time. With such a huge user base, it's no wonder that brands want to utilise this opportunity to reach out to their target demographics. However, is advertising on Tinder really effective?
Admit it, Instagram is awesome. As one of the greatest social media app ever created in the 21st century, Instagram allows brands to easily connect with their audience. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. What better way is there to convey your message with a photo on Instagram? Better yet, create a bigger picture with dozens of individual shots. Since its birth, brands have been progressing far enough to maintain a reasonable visual feed on the platform. However, some brands have really stood out by coming up with wonderful campaigns that utilises the Instagram grid to its fullest potential. These five campaigns have caught my eye and perhaps they could inspire you to change the way you see Instagram too.
